Who's that Pokémon?
I made this as part of a cloud computing assignment back at uni. The goal of the assignment was to use as many different AWS cloud services as possible. I took it down immediately after it received it's totally expected 100% because running it would have cost me like $100 a month there were so many services.
I recently refactored it to rip out all the AWS nonsense and use Netlify functions and blobs for the leaderboard storage.
I also redesigned it because it wasn't cute. It's not exactly on brand for Pokémon but I like it.
Asteroids.
A from-scratch clone of the arcade classic in Python. Made as part of a boot.dev course.
The stars and asteroids are generated procedurally but I drew the ship myself.
ELS School of Dance.
ELS School of Dance is a community dance studio in Melbourne's West that I've had the pleasure of building websites for three times over - each one a step up from the last.
The first was built from scratch, with any content changes going through me. It was gruelling as it involved using Cyberduck to transfer files to s3 where the static site was hosted. The second, also custom-built, introduced a headless CMS so she could finally manage her own content. The third and current site is built on a customised Framer template, and she's now fully autonomous: updating pages, managing content, and keeping everything current without needing to dm me.
Each iteration was a deliberate move toward independence. While it is always the goal to have a good-looking site, secondary to that was being able to hand over the keys.
I also sourced the photographer / videographer - Michelle Jarni, who shot my own wedding and is genuinely one of the best in Melbourne. Her work gave the site the warmth and energy it deserved.
On top of the website, over the years I have produced countless marketing material, end of year concert programs and even the window signage at the studio. (I am not really a graphics designer just a very good friend with a self proclaimed good eye)
The day

I lead a huge consortium of engineers (one).
